The enclosure is strong and massive; installation and maintenance require power to be isolated before opening the cover. It applies to Zone 1 / Zone 2.
Dust protection (Ex tD)
Aimed at combustible-dust atmospheres, requiring the enclosure to keep dust out or not transmit an explosion after ignition inside the shell. Common in grain, coal-dust and chemical-powder locations.
